Panic Attacks
Anxiety and panic attacks are very common conditions worldwide. Many people deal with them daily, but not all of them are interested in getting the adequate treatment. Some may believe that what happens to them is normal while other may think there is no way to treat their panic attacks. None of the statements is true. Panic attacks are not normal and there are many possibilities of treating them.
First you need to understand what panic attacks are. They appear rapidly and feelings of intense fear onset. The sufferer feels miserable and he or she is convinced that something very serious is going on and that the body will collapse under so much pressure. He or she imagines the worst case scenario and this is increasing the feeling of fear. The sufferer’s heart goes crazy, he or she is dizzy and breathes with difficulty. During the attack, most of the people feel lonely and abandoned and they are not able to see any possible solutions to their problems.
Once you understood the nature of the attacks you can stat focusing on possible ways of ending them. First and most important, you should stop worrying about your next attack. You will just make your life miserable if you constantly think about the moment next attack will occur. You can instead try the positive self talk. You might not believe it, but try and see the results. Keep telling yourself that no attack is going to happen and that you are calm and relax. Repeat it for a few times.
An advice that you should also take into consideration is to breathe correctly. This means to breathe slowly and deeply. Combine the two tips together and they will be more efficient. While taking deep breaths keep on repeating positive statements.
While doing all these to prevent panic attacks also talk about what you’re experiencing with someone close to you. Sometimes talking to someone can be really helpful. Family and friends can turn out to be more supportive than you imagine.
